A key lights up and shows its name, so your child connects the written note to the sound it makes.

An optional Timed mode plays the song at a real tempo, so practice becomes about keeping time — not just hitting the right key.

Every lesson finishes with a whole song, start to end — from "Twinkle, Twinkle" to "Ode to Joy" — in real sampled grand-piano sound.
Two age tracks
One app, two ways in
You choose a track when the app opens, and you can switch any time. The lessons and the songs underneath are the same — only the way notes are shown on the keys changes.
Ages 3–6
Preschool
Every key is colour-coded. Kids match colours to find notes on the keyboard, with short songs and almost no reading needed.
Ages 6–10
Primary
Every key shows its real note name. Songs are longer, and kids start linking note names to what they play — a first step toward reading music.
Straight talk
What Pianino is — and isn't
Pianino teaches music literacy: reading notes, rhythm, and simple songs. It's a pre-piano learning tool, not a substitute for a real instrument. A touchscreen can't teach finger technique or how hard to press a key — for that, a real piano and a teacher are still the way. What this app can do is show you whether music clicks for your child, before you commit to either.
